Sunday Night Prayers and Blessings

To close the weekend: Sunday night blessings and prayers in one.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2

Lord, thank You for this weekend, the rest and the mess of it. Before the week starts, I give it back to You. Bless the people I’ll see tomorrow. Bless the work I’ll do. Let me sleep tonight without dragging Monday into bed with me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

To send to someone tonight.

‘Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.’ Numbers 6:24-26

May the Lord bless your sleep tonight and your Monday tomorrow. May you walk into this week rested, loved, and not alone. May He give you peace in the hard parts and joy in the small ones. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the Sunday evening blues, when Monday is already sitting on your chest.

For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’ Isaiah 41:13

God, the Sunday blues are here again. I can already feel tomorrow. Take my hand, like You said You would. Remind me that You’re in Monday before I get there. Help me enjoy what’s left of tonight. In Jesus’ name, amen.

When the alarm goes off on Monday.

It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Good morning, Lord. It’s Monday, and I’m showing up. Your compassion is fresh this morning, and so is this week. Go ahead of me into every meeting and every task. Help me work hard and stay kind. In Jesus’ name, amen.
