Bible Verses About Blessings and Prosperity

What the Bible says about blessing and prosperity, with a short prayer for each verse.

“Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.”Proverbs 10:22 · World English Bible

Blessing first, and what it comes with.

Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it. Proverbs 10:22

But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18

Lord, Your word says Your blessing brings wealth, and that You add no trouble to it. Teach me to receive blessing the way You mean it: not as a trophy, but as a trust. Let what I have honor You. Let it be a gift I can share. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prosperity as the Bible describes it: soul first.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2

Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments. His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house. His righteousness endures forever. Psalm 112:1-3

Father, John wished his friend good health and success in everything, as much as his soul was doing well. I want that order too. Make my soul well first. Then bless my body, my work, and my home in the way You see best. Don’t let me chase prosperity and miss You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

What the Bible warns about wealth, and what it promises.

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19

Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is Yahweh?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. Proverbs 30:8-9

Lord, I don’t want to trust in riches that are here today and gone tomorrow. I want to trust You, who gives me everything to enjoy. Make me rich in good works, ready to share. Give me neither poverty nor riches, but what I need, so I stay close to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The classic ones: the blessing of Abraham, and the blessing Aaron spoke.

I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing. Genesis 12:2

‘Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.’ Numbers 6:24-26

Lord, thank You for the blessings You’ve spoken over Your people. Bless me, and make me a blessing. Keep me, and let Your face shine on me. Be gracious to me, and give me peace. Let my life be a place where Your blessing reaches other people. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God’s blessing comes with righteousness and a shield of favor.

Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 10:6

For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12

Father, Your word says blessings are on the head of the righteous, and that You surround them with favor like a shield. Make me one who walks in Your ways. Let Your favor surround me, not because I’ve earned it, but because You’re kind. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Blessing for strength, and for peace.

Yahweh will give strength to his people. Yahweh will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29:11

Lord, You give strength to Your people, and You bless them with peace. I ask for both today. Strengthen me for what’s ahead, and give me peace that doesn’t depend on how things go. Let this be the blessing I carry. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Start the day by receiving what He has already said.

Lord, I start this day with Your blessing, because You’ve already spoken it over me. Bless my work, my home, and my day. Make me a blessing to someone before it ends. Thank You for being generous. In Jesus’ name, amen.
