Prayers for Wealth and Provision

An honest prayer about money, with generosity in it.

But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18

Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it. Proverbs 10:22

Lord, I’m asking You about money. I want enough to provide for my family, to pay what I owe, and to give. You are the One who gives the power to get wealth, so I come to You honestly. Teach me to work well, to spend wisely, and to hold it loosely. Don’t let wealth become my god. Bless my work, and make me generous. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Soul first. The rest follows as He sees fit.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2

Lord, John prayed that his friend would prosper and be healthy, even as his soul prospers. I want that same order: soul first. Make my walk with You strong and healthy. Then bless the rest of my life as You see fit: my health, my work, my finances. Don’t give me more than my soul can carry. In Jesus’ name, amen.

A blessing to pray over someone you love.

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Lord, I pray this over someone I love: may they prosper in all things and be healthy, even as their soul prospers. Strengthen their faith first. Provide what they need. Protect them from the love of money, and give them a heart to share. Bless their work, and bless their rest. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Short and honest, with generosity in it.

Lord, this is my wealth prayer: let me have enough, and let me be generous. Show me how to work well and spend wisely. Don’t let money become the thing I serve. Whatever You give me, let it bless other people too. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Remembering where wealth comes from.

Father, You are the One who gives the power to get wealth. I don’t forget that. Help me be grateful for what I have, and wise with what I’m given. Let me use it to do good, and to help people who need it. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The true riches, and the ones that spend.

Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is Yahweh?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. Proverbs 30:8-9

Lord, I’m not only asking for riches that fade. Give me the riches that last: wisdom, a clean conscience, a faithful marriage, good friends, and a heart that loves You. If You also give money, help me carry it well. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Asking for both, and holding them loosely.

God, I ask for prosperity, and for the means to provide for my family. Bless my work. Open the right doors. And keep my eyes on what matters most, so that if I gain the world, I don’t lose my soul. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily bread, and enough.

Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

Lord, give me what I need for today. Not too much, and not too little, so that I remember to depend on You. Help me work with honesty, spend with wisdom, and give with a glad heart. Keep me content with what You’ve given, and free from the love of money. I trust You to provide. In Jesus’ name, amen.
