Prayers for Women of God

Prayers for a woman you love, for the strong woman who is tired, and for women who serve.

“I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.”Psalm 139:14 · World English Bible

For a woman you love, or for yourself.

I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Psalm 139:14

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30

Lord, I lift up this woman to You. You know her whole story, the parts she shows and the parts she hides. Hold her when she’s tired. Give her wisdom for what she’s carrying, and let her know she is seen. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that her worth doesn’t depend on what she gets done. Surround her with people who love her well. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the women who follow Him, in every season.

God, I pray for the women who follow You. Strengthen their faith in the days when it feels small. Give them courage to speak when they should, and quiet when they should be still. Protect their homes, their minds, and their hearts. Make them women whose lives point to You, not because they’re perfect, but because they keep coming back to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the woman everyone calls strong, who is tired of holding it all together.

Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him. Psalm 28:7

Lord, people call me strong, and they don’t see how tired I am. Thank You that I don’t have to hold everything together by myself. Be the strength I can’t find in myself. Let me rest, and let me ask for help without shame. Renew me the way You promised, so I can keep going without running dry. I’m strong because You are. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the women who teach, host, pray, and care, often unseen.

I commend to you Phoebe, our sister, who is a servant of the assembly that is at Cenchreae, that you receive her in the Lord, in a way worthy of the saints, and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need from you, for she herself also has been a helper of many, and of my own self. Romans 16:1-2

Father, bless the women who serve in ministry. Thank You for those who teach, host, pray, and care for others, often without being noticed. Give them wisdom, energy, and joy. Protect them from burnout, comparison, and discouragement. Let them see fruit that lasts. Make our church a place where every woman is known and every gift is welcomed. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Before the day asks everything of you, start with Him.

Lord, I start this day with You. Give me what I need for what is ahead, and not more. Where I’m weary, strengthen me. Where I’m anxious, steady me. Help me be kind to the people I’ll meet, and gentle with myself. I want to be a woman who is led by You today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
