Prayers for My Husband

The one to pray tonight.

If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh. Joshua 24:15

Lord, I lift up my husband to You. Bless him, and keep him. Give him strength for his day and peace in his heart. Help me love him well, even when I’m tired. Let him know he is valued, by me and by You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For his faith and his inner life.

Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand. You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Psalm 73:23-24

Father, draw my husband’s heart close to You. Let him know Your love. Give him courage to lead with humility, and gentleness to love well. Soften whatever has grown hard, and strengthen whatever is weak. Let him be a man who follows You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For his body and his rest.

Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness. Psalm 41:3

Lord, I ask for my husband’s health. Heal what hurts, and give him rest. Guide his doctors. Give him strength to do what he needs to do, and wisdom to rest when he needs to. Let him feel Your peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father, bless my husband’s work. Give him wisdom, focus, and favor. Protect him from stress that wears him down. Let him do honest work, and let him be seen for it. Bring him home with peace in his heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God, bless my husband and our marriage. Help us listen, forgive quickly, and speak kindly. Where we’ve drifted, bring us closer. Let our home be warm, and our love patient. Thank You for him. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Before he leaves.

Lord, as my husband starts his day, go with him. Give him focus, patience, and a quiet joy. Bring him home safe. I’m praying for him, and You are with him. In Jesus’ name, amen.
