Prayers for Wisdom

The one to start with.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. James 1:5

Lord, I need wisdom. I don’t have enough of my own. You said to ask, and You give generously. So I’m asking. Show me what to do, what to say, and what to leave alone. Let me not lean on my own understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding. For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold. Proverbs 3:13-14

Lord, the Bible shows me that You give wisdom generously to those who ask. Today I’m asking. Show me what to do, and let me trust You when it’s not clear. In Jesus’ name, amen.
