The one to say when it’s too much.

Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Lord, I’m stressed. I’m carrying too much, and I can’t put it down. I’m giving it to You. Sustain me. Show me what to let go of, and what to do next. Give me a quiet mind, and a steady heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Verses for when your shoulders are tight.

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

God, I need rest. Let me be still, and know that You are God. Keep me in perfect peace by keeping my mind on You. Take the pressure off. Let me breathe. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For a day that won’t stop.

And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23

Father, work is overwhelming. Help me do the next thing well. Give me patience with people and clear thinking with decisions. Let me rest at night without taking everything home with me. I trust You with what I can’t finish. In Jesus’ name, amen.

When stress and worry feed each other.

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Lord, stress and anxiety are wearing me down. Give me peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Teach me to bring each worry to You before it grows. Help me sleep, eat, and rest. I’m placing it all in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Before the pressure starts.

Lord, before the day piles on, give me calm. Help me do one thing at a time. Let me say no when I need to. I give You my to-do list, and I trust You with the results. In Jesus’ name, amen.
