Prayers for Protection

The one to start with.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. Psalm 18:2

Lord, I ask for Your protection today. Guard my body, my mind, and my heart. Keep me from what would harm me, seen and unseen. You are my refuge and my fortress, and I trust You. Be a shield around me wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the people under your roof.

Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8

Father, I place my family under Your protection. Watch over each one: where they go, who they’re with, and what they face. Keep them safe in the day and in the night. Guard their hearts as well as their bodies. I trust You to love them better than I can. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the place where you live.

Lord, I ask Your protection over my home. Keep out what shouldn’t come in. Let it be a place of peace and safety. Guard the door, the walls, and the people inside. Let everyone who enters leave a little more at peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Ask Him to keep you safe and to show you the way.

For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11

Yahweh’s angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7

God, protect me, and guide me. You gave Your angels charge over me, to guard me in all my ways. Show me where to go, and keep me from the wrong turns. Let me hear You, and follow. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Short enough for the moment you need it.

Lord, protect me. Cover me, guard me, keep me safe. Be with me now. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For the battle that’s inside.

Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe. Proverbs 18:10

Father, guard my mind and my heart. Protect me from lies, from fear, and from thoughts that tear me down. Keep my eyes on what is true. Let Your peace stand guard over what I can’t. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Before everyone leaves the house.

Lord, as my family goes out today, go with them. Guard each of them in all they do. Bring us all home safe. Thank You for loving them more than I can. In Jesus’ name, amen.
