Accepted in the Beloved

What it means to be accepted in Christ, with a short prayer for each verse.

“He freely gave us favor in the Beloved.”Ephesians 1:6 · World English Bible

Accepted, not tolerated.

Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God. Romans 15:7

See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him. 1 John 3:1

Lord, thank You that I’m accepted in the Beloved. Not because of what I do, but because of Jesus. Let me stop performing for what You’ve already given. Let me live as someone who is accepted. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father, the old wording says I’m accepted in the Beloved, and I’m holding on to that. Remove the shame that says otherwise. Make this the first thing I believe about myself today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord, thank You that You chose me on purpose, for a purpose. Show me what it is, one step at a time. Help me walk it out without comparing myself. In Jesus’ name, amen.
